C&G 2382-12 17^th Edition Wiring Regulations

The aim of this 3 day electrical training course is to gain familiarity with the layout, content and application of the BS 7671 (2008) (2011) 17th Edition Regulations. This course involves no practical work, it introduces the regulations and covers their application through explanation and worked examples.

The purposes, structure and content of the updated IEE On-Site Guide will also be covered and delegates will appreciate how to use this in support of the BS 7671.

Throughout the electrical course delegates will be prepared to sit the City and Guild 2382-12 multiple choice examination leading to the award of the Level 3 Award in Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671: June 2008 (2011)

A basic understanding of electrical principles is recommended in order to be successful on this course which is fast becoming industry standard. The course is aimed at practicing electricians, electrical contractors and those who require to have a good working knowledge of BS 7671 (2008) (2011).

This award is also a requirement for those of you registering onto a Part P scheme; your chosen Governing body will request that you obtain this electrical qualification within a 12 month period.

It is intended to ensure that on completion of this course, individuals are conversant with the format, content and the application of the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671 (2008) (2011) 17th Edition Regulations.

The aim of this 3 day electrical training course is to gain familiarity with the layout, content and application of the BS 7671 (2008) (2011) Regulations. This course is entirely classroom based, it introduces the regulations and covers their application through explanation and worked examples.

The purposes, structure and content of the IEE On-Site Guide will also be covered and delegates will appreciate how to use this in support of the BS 7671.

There are eight units making up the course relating to Parts 1-7 and the Appendices of BS 7671 (2008) (2011)

• Definitions
• Assessment of general characteristics
• Protection for safety
• Selection and erection of equipment
• Inspection and testing
• Special installations or locations
• Appendices

We will explore in detail how to use BS 7671 (2008) (2011) and IEE on-site Guide, we will go over preparation for City & Guilds 2382-12 examination which is: 2-hour multiple-choice examination. The exam is 'open book', meaning during the two hour exam you will be able to refer to the 17th edition book.

16 Week Professional Electricians Combined Qualification Level 2/3

Another package of training that will give you a fantastic start in the Electrical industry. This is quite a demanding set of courses but if you don’t feel ready at any time for any of the courses, you have the opportunity to defer them until you are ready – the discount still stands. This package will provide you with the main qualification, C&G 2365 levels 2 and 3 as well as BS7671-17th Edition Wiring Regs, Portable Appliance Testing, Building Regs for Part P and Inspection & Testing qualifications.

8 Week Professional Electricians Qualification Level 2

Able Skills has the facilities and staff in place to offer a wide variety of Electrical courses and we are always keen to offer individuals the opportunity to learn as much as possible in relation to the trade they are entering. As a result, we have several packages available at discounted prices – it is up to you just how much you want to learn. This particular package of learning will provide you with BS7671 – 17th Edition Wiring Regulations, Portable Appliance Testing qualification and also a Building Regulations qualification which will enable you to register for Part P.

7 Week Professional Electricians Qualification Level 3

This level 3 Electricians qualification is the natural progression from C&G 2365 level 2 or for those of you who hold other Electrical industry recognised qualifications like C&G 2360 Part 1 or C&G 2330 level 2. This qualification is required if you are looking to progress within the Electrical industry or if you are looking to move on and achieve NVQ level 3.

City & Guilds Level 3 Qualification for Domestic Electrics

This qualification will be available in full from September 2012 and is a replacement route for anyone looking to become a Domestic Installer and register on to a Part P scheme for the purposes of self-certificating electrical work undertaken within a domestic dwelling
