Able Skills provides training and assessment in a number of courses, accredited by a variety of awarding bodies but we are always aware that the reality of what is actually required within various industries can also be demonstrated by non qualification courses.
Able Skills instructors have devised this particular short course to provide a comprehensive awareness of procedures required when undertaking the inspection and testing of an existing electrical installation.
This training option may suit those of you who are not in a position to dedicate 4 or 5 days to attendance for a qualification although we do recommend that later down the line, you consider undertaking C&G 2392 – Fundamental Inspection & Testing – in order to give you a much broader understanding of testing procedures and also to prepare you for C&G 2391 should this be your eventual aim.
To embark on this particular course, experience in the construction and inspection and testing of installations will be of benefit but is not essential. Candidates who have undertaken Able Skills Electrical Introductory course can view this as a refresher or an extension of the testing and inspection elements which they previously covered.
We recommend that delegates have personal copies of BS 7671: 2008 and IEE Guidance Note 3 Inspection & Testing (5th edition) as these are referenced throughout the course. If you do not have these available, they can be purchased here at Able Skills.
Upon completion of this course, candidates will receive an Able Skills certificate of attendance and completion.
