City & Guilds 2330 Level 3

City & Guilds 2330 Level 3

The current C&G Electrotechnical qualifications: 2330 levels 2 and 3 are to be replaced by C&G 2365 level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installations (Buildings and Structures) and C&G 2365 level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installations (Buildings and Structures) from September 2012.

This is excellent news for both colleges and private providers alike as the introduction of these new Electrical qualifications will mean that adult learners will still have a viable option for entry into the electrical industry without having the immediate pressure of achieving NVQ units which the current C&G 2357 places on them.

The courses are intended for those that want to gain practical skills and knowledge in order to gain entry into the electrical industry as an Electrician. They are also suitable for those wanting to update their knowledge and skills for progression within the industry.

Progression can be to the 2357-13 or 2357-23 Diplomas. These are the new sector diplomas that require the candidates to be working as electricians so that work based assessments can be undertaken (similar to the current C&G 2356 – NVQ)

Despite the introduction of these new qualifications, the existing qualification C&G 2330 Electroctechnical Certificate at level 3 will remain available for registration until January 2013 and Able Skills have various start dates for this particular level 3 on both a full time and weekend basis for the remainder of 2012. If your choice is the C&G 2330 over the newer qualification and you meet the pre-requisites, please give us a call to check availability.

C&G 2330 level 3 Pre-requisites

The level 3 is the natural progression for anyone who holds the C&G 2330 at level 2 or even those of you who hold the previously accredited C&G 2360 part 1.

Separately, if you have a comprehensive electrical background and have been employed in a commercial/industrial Electricians role for some time, you can be considered for direct entry to level 3 but this will require a brief profiling beforehand - please contact us for details.

City & Guilds 2330 level 3

Able Skills extensive Electrical department enables us to be able to deliver a multitude of electrical courses including this City & Guilds Certificate in Electrotechnical Technology 2330 - level 3.

With just 6 weeks of intensive electrical training on a full time basis, you could obtain the City & Guilds 2330 Level 3 electrical qualification, which previously took 1 year on a part time basis in any college. Fast Track Training - It works well, our existing pass rate is excellent

The course is made up of electrical principles involving AC theory, single phase and three phase power, transformers etc and craft theory, including earthing, types of motors and illumination all to the latest 17th Edition Wiring Regulations. Some electronics will also be included in this course.

The aim of this electrical course is to provide and help develop regulation knowledge, practical skills and science required for electrical installation work.

Another level 3 Electrical option

Alternatively, you can switch to the C&G 2365 level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installations (Buildings and Structures). The arrangement of the new C&G 2365 Electrical qualification has been developed very similarly to the C&G 2330 with some slight adjustments and the duration for this option is 7 weeks (or 18 weekends)

Starting from scratch?

If you do not have any existing Electrical qualifications but you would like to start from scratch to give yourself the opportunity to enter the Electrical industry then your starting point would be C&G 2365 level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installations (Buildings and Structures). This is a very comprehensive qualification which effectively covers the previous C&G 2330 at level 2.

Able Skills is open 7 days every week and we welcome visitors at all times. Please feel free to come along to view our facilities, have an informal chat with any one of our instructors and meet existing students. We feel that this is an excellent introduction for anyone looking to invest in training and this option will help you decide if Able Skills is where you want to train.

City & Guilds 2330 level 3 - A 6 week course of intensive training - This is the natural progression from level 2 and is a requirement for moving forward to the next stage.

City & Guilds 2330 Level 3

Despite the introduction of the Qualification Credit Framework (QCF), it has been decided that for the next year or so, the existing qualification C&G 2330 Electroctechnical Certificate at level 3 will remain a valid learning path for anyone looking to progress within the Electrical industry. You can continue to register on this qualification up until January 2013 as long as we have course start dates arranged.
