City & Guilds 2365 Level 2 Electrical Course

Welcome to Able Skills C&G 2365-02 Level 2 (Diploma in Electrical Installations (Buildings and Structures))

Qualification News

The current C&G Electrotechnical qualifications: 2330 levels 2 and 3 are to be replaced by C&G 2365 level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installations (Buildings and Structures)and C&G 2365 level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installations (Buildings and Structures) from September 2012.

This is excellent news for both colleges and private providers alike as the introduction of these new Electrical qualifications will mean that adult learners will still have a viable option for entry into the electrical industry without having the immediate pressure of achieving NVQ units which the current C&G 2357 places on them.

The courses are intended for those that want to gain practical skills and knowledge in order to gain entry into the electrical industry as an Electrician. They are also suitable for those wanting to update their knowledge and skills for progression within the industry.

Progression can be to the 2357-13 or 2357-23 Diplomas. These are the new sector diplomas that require the candidates to be working as electricians so that work based assessments can be undertaken (similar to the current C&G 2356 – NVQ)

C&G 2365-02 Level 2 - Next start date: 22nd September 2014

If you are looking to change career and become an Electrician then this level 2 C&G qualification is your starting point.

Over the past few years there have been various changes and additions to the Electrical qualifications that have been available to people and it would appear that everything has now settled down with the introduction of the C&G 2365-02 and C&G 2365-03.

This qualification has been put together using units from the C&G 2330 which has been the most popular route into the electrical industry for the past few years and also C&G 2357 which was introduced in 2011.

Able Skills instructors have looked at this new qualification, its content and assessment methods, and they feel that it is a real step forward for City & Guilds and an excellent introduction to electrics and for anyone looking to learn to become an Electrician.

C&G 2365 Level 2

This particular Electrical qualification is perfect for those of you who do not currently work within the Electrical industry but who are looking to change career and move in that very direction..

The structure of this level 2 Electrical course does not require work based assessments and everything that is required to complete the award can be done here at Able Skills.

Able Skills is offering this C&G 2365 at Level 2 on a fast track basis - 7 weeks on a full time basis.

The City & Guilds 2365 at level 2 will be the recognised route into the electrical installation industry and will cover underpinning knowledge necessary for the industry.

It is suited to those of you wishing to gain in-depth technical knowledge as a route into the industry but equally, is also suitable for those of you already working in the electrical industry who require in-depth technical knowledge without completing an apprenticeship.

Level 2 is designed to provide and help develop regulation knowledge, practical skills and science required for electrical installation work; as the course progresses you will gain extensive knowledge of the theory of Electrics.

The course will also provide an understanding of the Health & Safety requirements governing electrical installation processes, and knowledge of the organisation and structure of the electrical industry within which these activities are carried out.

During this 7 weeks of intensive training - 50% of which is devoted to practical work - the 2365 Level 2 will provide all of the necessary foundation knowledge for entrants to undertake electrical work within Domestic, Industrial and Commercial premises.

We feel that this new and improved qualification is an excellent introduction for anyone looking to invest in training and a future within the electrical industry.

If you remain unsure about what the correct route to the electrical industry is or you are shopping around and becoming a bit disheartened with the excessive amount of information available on various websites, then we suggest that if you are able to, pop in to Able Skills and see firsthand what we do here.

You do not need an appointment, just turn up and look around, have a chat with an electrical instructor and ask whatever questions you have – we feel that this invitation is unrivalled and will most definitely help you decide if Able Skills is where you want to train. We do not have a sales team to hassle you and if you prefer, you can remain anonymous, therefore guaranteeing that we won’t bombard you with calls and emails or even a visit to your home!
