C&G 2392-10

This qualification has been developed in conjunction with the electrical industry to provide less experienced candidates with an introduction of how to inspect and test (conduct the initial verification) of electrical installations before progressing onto the 2391-10 Level 3 Certificate in Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations.

This particular Electrical course is also suitable for practicing electricians who have not carried out inspection and testing since qualifying or who require some updated training before going onto achieve the City & Guilds 2391-10.

Testing and Inspection is often a difficult subject for even the most experienced of electricians. This 2392-10 Inspection and testing qualification, not only helps you to fully understand testing, it also provides you with a qualification and certificate to show you are competent to undertake the work.

It is a very essential skill and qualification to have for anyone undertaking electrical installations.

Progression to C&G  2391: - C&G 2391 is amongst the most difficult of any Electrical exam you will undertake but with the introduction of this award, it is expected that candidates who  have achieved the 2392-10 will have on average, greater success in achieving the 2391

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for candidates undertaking this Electrical qualification however, we need to ensure that candidates have the potential and opportunity to successfully achieve this qualification and so it would therefore be expected that candidates have a basic knowledge and understanding of the current BS 7671 electrical science and principles.

It would also be expected that candidates have experience of electrical installation work either within the electrical contracting industry or an allied trade.

We feel that this is an excellent introduction for anyone looking to invest in training and this option will help you decide if Able Skills is where you want to train.

Able Skills has designed this course over a 4 day period to ensure delivery of all aspects of the training and to allow time for both practical and theory training to be delivered to a comprehensive level.

During the course candidates learn how to carry out inspection and testing using various training rigs simulating real electrical installations and are then given the opportunity to perform the inspection, testing and verification on an individual basis.

Course content:

•    Preparation for initial inspection and testing 
•    Electrical Inspection 
•    Electrical Testing

The above consist of both practical and theoretical electrical training to ensure that all underpinning knowledge requirements are supported by frequent practical activities.

Assessment will be by:

o    A 50 question multiple choice online test covering the underpinning knowledge relating to the fundamental inspection, testing and initial verification of electrical installations, as required by BS 7671:2008

AND

o    A practical test covering the range of inspections, tests, verification and recording of information and results for a new electrical installation, as required by BS 7671:2008

Upon successful completion of this Electrical course, assessments and exams; candidates will be awarded a City & Guilds certificate.

16 Week Professional Electricians Combined Qualification Level 2/3

Another package of training that will give you a fantastic start in the Electrical industry. This is quite a demanding set of courses but if you don’t feel ready at any time for any of the courses, you have the opportunity to defer them until you are ready – the discount still stands. This package will provide you with the main qualification, C&G 2365 levels 2 and 3 as well as BS7671-17th Edition Wiring Regs, Portable Appliance Testing, Building Regs for Part P and Inspection & Testing qualifications.

8 Week Professional Electricians Qualification Level 2

Able Skills has the facilities and staff in place to offer a wide variety of Electrical courses and we are always keen to offer individuals the opportunity to learn as much as possible in relation to the trade they are entering. As a result, we have several packages available at discounted prices – it is up to you just how much you want to learn. This particular package of learning will provide you with BS7671 – 17th Edition Wiring Regulations, Portable Appliance Testing qualification and also a Building Regulations qualification which will enable you to register for Part P.

Duration: 8 Weeks

7 Week Professional Electricians Qualification Level 3

This level 3 Electricians qualification is the natural progression from C&G 2365 level 2 or for those of you who hold other Electrical industry recognised qualifications like C&G 2360 Part 1 or C&G 2330 level 2. This qualification is required if you are looking to progress within the Electrical industry or if you are looking to move on and achieve NVQ level 3.

City & Guilds Level 3 Qualification for Domestic Electrics

This qualification will be available in full from September 2012 and is a replacement route for anyone looking to become a Domestic Installer and register on to a Part P scheme for the purposes of self-certificating electrical work undertaken within a domestic dwelling
