Why Able Skills?

Able Skills has been continually expanding since we started providing electrical training in 2003. We have developed our Electrical centres to such a standard that they can match, and in many cases better, most FE Colleges or other providers in the UK.

The Electrical centre has been devised to ensure that there is optimum space for every candidate in attendance and that every piece of training and assessment is completed at the correct time and without delay.

Every candidate is allocated a toolkit for their use during the training; all other materials are provided at no extra cost including all 17th edition test equipment : Megger 1552, Di Log 9073P and PAT DV/3. Demonstrations are regularly provided by leading Electrical Test Equipment manufacturers and visits from Electrical wholesalers and Electrical equipment manufacturers are also available.

Our spacious, air conditioned classrooms are equipped with plasma screens in order to display up to date information during theory sessions and there are display boards, training aids and reference books to support your learning.

Our Electrical centres have been designed to cater for all aspects of Electrical installations, whether it is domestic, industrial or commercial work which you are receiving training for. We have spacious work bays to allow you to simulate piece by piece a full electrical installation on a domestic/commercial/industrial basis. We will cover everything from basic lighting circuits to alarm circuits to 3 phase installations including the inspection and test process for each situation.

We have an excellent reputation within the training industry and have some of the best staff available who will dedicate their time to ensuring that you are given every opportunity to complete these Electrical qualifications. All 6 of our Electrical staff are fully qualified in their trade as well as being Assessors and Internal Verifiers.

Our facilities are such that we can take you from an Electrical novice to a FULLY QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN, providing support and guidance throughout your Electrical journey.

Able Skills is open 7 days every week and we welcome visitors at all times. Please feel free to come along to view our facilities, have an informal chat with any one of our instructors and meet existing students. We feel that this is an excellent introduction for anyone looking to invest in training and this option will help you decide if Able Skills is where you want to train.
