Despite the introduction of the Qualification Credit Framework (QCF) in 2011, it has been decided that for the next year or so, the existing qualification C&G 2330 Electroctechnical Certificate at level 3 will remain a valid learning path for anyone looking to progress within the Electrical industry. You can continue to register on to this qualification up until July 2012.
C&G 2330 level 3 Pre-requisites
The level 3 is the natural progression for anyone who holds the C&G 2330 at level 2 or even those of you who hold the previously accredited C&G 2360 part 1.
Separately, if you have a comprehensive electrical background and have been employed in a commercial/industrial Electricians role for some time, you can be considered for direct entry to level 3 but this will require a brief profiling beforehand - please contact us for details.

The course is made up of electrical principles involving AC theory, single phase and three phase power, transformers etc and craft theory, including earthing, types of motors and illumination all to the latest 17th Edition Wiring Regulations. Some electronics will also be included in this course.
The aim of this electrical course is to provide and help develop regulation knowledge, practical skills and science required for electrical installation work.
Another level 3 Electrical option
Alternatively, you can switch to the C&G 2357 Electrotechnical Diploma at level 3. The arrangement of the new C&G 2357 Electrical qualification has been developed in modular units allowing for individuals who hold the previous C&G 2330 at level 2 the opportunity to map over their level 2 qualification and just complete the remaining units to achieve the C&G 2357. Please visit C&G 2357 Recognition of Prior Learning for further details
Starting from scratch?
If you do not have any existing Electrical qualifications but you would like to start from scratch to give yourself the opportunity to enter the Electrical industry then your starting point would be C&G 2357 - QCF NVQ Diploma. This is a very comprehensive qualification which effectively covers the previous C&G 2330 at levels 2 and 3 as well as the NVQ aspects of those awards.
