electrical course electrical course

Able Skills has been successfully delivering City & Guilds 2330 level 2 and 3 for some time now and we are inundated with requests for more intake dates. The most popular request is for weekend training and so we have devised a training plan to cater for this request.

You are now in a position to obtain the highly sought after City & Guilds 2330 level 2 at weekends without your regular commitments being affected. This intensive training option will require you to attend for a regular training pattern and this fast track option is still quicker than any college can offer. In approximately 9 months, you could have this qualification complete and be ready to work within the industry, if you are not doing so already.

This particular training option may be especially interesting to those of you who are already within the industry but without this qualification. What better way to get qualified without giving up your day job; we are regularly used by company’s who are looking to upskill their staff because of the flexibility we provide

The aim of this electrical course is to provide and help develop regulation knowledge, practical skills and science required for electrical installation work.

The course will also provide an understanding of the Health & Safety requirements governing electrical installation processes, and knowledge of the organisation and structure of the electrical industry within which these activities are carried out.

This qualification is the recognised entry requirement for those of you looking to work within the electrical industry and this course will start by teaching you the basic principles of electrical installation and will provide you with all the underpinning knowledge required.

We recommend you have a scientific calculator and IEE On-Site Guide.

All other reading and training materials will be provided by Able Skills throughout the duration of the course at no extra expense to you.

The recommended study book for this course is Electrical Installations Level 2, 2330 Technical Certificate and this will be sent out to you at the time of booking your course. This will give you a great insight into what you will be covering so that at your start date, you are instantly familiar.

Successful completion for this qualification will require you to be assessed by practical assessments and assignments and with external exams under the guidance of City & Guilds.

This is a formal trade qualification and is required in order for candidates to progress further in their electrical training/career. It can also be used for people who are looking to retrain and enter the electrical industry.

All students are required to wear appropriate protective equipment in the electrical workshops, including safety boots.

If you are keen to move on within the electrical industry, Able Skills also offer City & Guilds 2330 level 3, 2382-10 & 2382-20 (17th Edition full award and update), 2391 Inspection & Testing, 2377 Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) as well as Domestic Installer qualifications required for Part P registration.

If you are keen to obtain City & Guilds 2330 level 2 and are available Monday to Friday, this option is also available but is also very full. If you are thinking of the future then maybe you won’t mind the wait.

The weekend training programme will last for 40 weeks and you will need to attend for half of this time. The training programme will require your attendance on a 2 on and then 2 off basis. At the end of the time, we will need you to attend for a block of 5 days to undertake your practical assessment to complete the award.

The team of Instructors we have are former FE Instructors who much prefer the private training industry as well as the willingness of all students. Our instructors are all Electrically trained and have spent years working within the industry, this gives them the life skills to pass onto their students and helps to maintain reality. Each individual member of staff also has the required teaching and assessing awards and we also have Internal Verifiers who are Electrical staff. This will guarantee that your entire course is completed on site at Able Skills and that there will never be a requirement for us to delay any aspect of your course.

Able Skills also offers you the opportunity to pay as you train which means that you can spread the cost of this course over the entire training period at no additional cost to yourself.
