Electrical Training from Able Skills
Choosing the right Electrical Training for you
To help you decide what kind of Electrical Training you need, you will need to first decide which Electrical route you want to pursue. Do you want to eventually be able to call yourself an Electrician or are you looking at a career within the domestic sector, covering Part P.
Domestic and Part P
A career as a Domestic Installer will require you to undertake various Electrical Training courses.
The first part of your Electrical training will be to undertake a practical course, either a 2 or 5 day course dependant upon your existing knowledge. The next stage of the Electrical Training will be the Domestic Installer qualification which is the VRQ Level 2 and this is a 5 day course.
With these two Electrical Training aspects complete, you will be able to approach your chosen Governing body to register on to a Part P scheme which will enable you to self certify work undertaken within a domestic dwelling.
The next stage of your Electrical training will be to gain the 17th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification – City & Guilds 2382-10 and after time, your Electrical Training will take the shape of City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing.
We offer a variety of Electrical Training packages for the Domestic Installer route, all devised to suit practically every individuals requirement.
Becoming an Electrician
Electrical Training to become an Electrician can be a lengthy process however, very rewarding. The recognised entry level into the industry is City & Guilds 2330 at level 2. Able Skills provides Electrical Training for the 2330 on a fast track basis for those of you who do not have the time to undertake Electrical Training on a part time basis at college.
To compliment this 2330 award we also provide Electrical Training for 17th Edition, Electrical Training for C&G 2377 – Portable Appliance Testing and Electrical Training for C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing. Training for these additional qualifications is available as part of various Electrical Training packages we provide or available as stand alone Electrical Training courses.
Able Skills is also able to provide Electrical Training for City & Guilds 2330 at level 3 which is ultimately where any potential Electrician should be looking to get. Once you are working within the industry and have no more Electrical training requirements, you can look towards being assessed on site, in your capacity as an Electrician to gain NVQ status.
All of these Electrical training courses are available at Able Skills. We offer every Electrical training qualification as stand alone options but we have also arranged various Electrical training packages to save you time and money.
The majority of our electrical training is available using weekend training.
