Choosing the right Electrician courses for you
If you are looking for a career within the Electrical industry then you will need to find the right Electrician Courses for you.
There are many Electrician courses available, some which provide you with qualifications for Part P and others which will provide you with the correct route into the Electrical industry.
Electrician Courses for Part P
Electrician courses to allow you to undertake domestic installation would be EAL VRQ level 2. This qualification will enable you to register onto a Part P competent person’s scheme. We also recommend that you obtain City & Guilds 2382, 17th Edition wiring regulations. Registering onto a Part P scheme will allow you to undertake work within domestic dwellings which you can then self certify.
Other Electrician Courses

We have various Electrician courses and Electrical training packages available which will enable you to become a qualified Electrician.
In order to allow you to undertake Electrical work within Commercial and Industrial sites, you would be required to achieve City & Guilds 2330 at level 2. This course is the recognised route for those of you wishing to go into the electrical installation industry and will provide you with underpinning knowledge necessary for the industry. The aim of this electrical course is to provide and help develop regulation knowledge, practical skills and science required for electrical installation work.
To progress further within the industry and to build your knowledge base, the next Electrician courses you should look to undertake would be City & Guilds 2382, City & Guilds 2391 and eventually, City & Guilds 2330 at level 3.
Other Electrician courses that may prove useful in a career as an Electrician are City & Guilds 2377 for Portable Appliance Testing and you should also look to undertake the VRQ Level 2 for Part P registration.
