Simply put, The Gas Safe Register is about safety and to make sure that gas appliances such as boilers, fires, ovens and hobs are installed, maintained and serviced safely. In order to ensure this process is adhered to, Gas Safe register Engineers need to be employed to carry out the work.
If someone other than a Gas Safe registered engineer does the gas work in your home, you could be risking the safety of your family and your property.
As an approved provider of Gas Training and Gas Assessment, Able Skills supports the changes that the new Gas Safe Register have implemented to monitor the Gas Industry.

Gas Safe Register is the new official stamp for gas safety in Great Britain and the message is; gas, safe, register – keep gas safe. The meaning is clear. A Gas Safe Registered Engineer is safe to work with gas.
Gas Safe Register provides a service allowing engineers to report gas work that is notifiable under the Building Regulations.
Gas Safe Register assesses the competence of individual engineers by inspecting the gas work they have carried out. Inspections are generated from data sources and not selected by the engineer. Each piece of work an engineer carries out is a potential candidate for inspection.
All registered engineers and businesses will have a risk profile that is made up of a range of factors. This will help Gas Safe Register to target inspection resources where we anticipate finding work that might be considered of higher risk.
A dedicated enforcement team will identify and pursue businesses and individuals that undertake gas work unregistered.
