Gas Centres
Able Skills Domestic Gas Centres are fully equipped for both training and assessment purposes and are suited to those of you who are new to the industry and who are considering a career in Gas but equally, our Gas Centres are also beneficial to existing and experienced engineers who require reassessment or re training.
We offer a wide range of training and assessment to the latest government guidelines in our purpose built workshops and training centres where our qualified team of gas trainers and assessors will provide guidance, support and assistance in a realistic environment to build confidence and competence to work safely in the gas industry.
Able Skills Commercial Gas Centre has been put together to meet the needs of anyone looking to be trained or assessed in aspects of Commercial Gas.
We undertook a great deal of research to establish exactly what the requirements of the industry were and we feel that our investment in the required equipment will place any candidate in a very fortunate position, working on the most comprehensive of commercial systems.
Gas Instructors
At Able Skills, we consider that we have the highest calibre of Gas Trainers and Assessors in place. We have worked very hard to get the right mix of people to deliver what can be a complex, sometimes tedious, subject. The guys are firm but fair and the emphasis for them at all times is on safety whilst delivering a quality product.
They are extremely passionate about their subject field and are keen to ensure that any potential Gas Engineers leave Able Skills with extensive knowledge to cover all aspects of Domestic or Commercial Gas and with a clear understanding of how to undertake gas work safely and competently.

CORGI > Gas Safe Register
The way Gas Installers register has changed and Corgi has been replaced by Gas Safe Register as of 1 April 2009. It is now the official industry stamp for gas safety.
The Health and Safety Executive, who is responsible for regulating gas safety in Great Britain, oversees Gas Safe Register.
The change was brought about to provide enhanced levels of service and clearly written rules of registration. There are new services and benefits designed to improve the registration scheme and promote gas safety.
Please visit www.gassaferegister.co.uk for details of how the changes affect new and existing Gas Operatives
