Able Skills has taken some time to investigate the requirements for those of you who are looking to move abroad to live.
We have established that the 3 main destinations for those of you looking to emigrate are: (Click a Country for further information)
Australia
Canada
New Zealand
Each Country operates a points system and each Country has it’s own requirements for resettlement entitlement.
Construction Training Courses
If you are already working in a construction trade but have never achieved a qualification then Able Skills may be able to help you with the various courses we have available.
NVQs
Alternatively, we are also an NVQ Assessment Centre which means that if you have experience but have never gained qualifications, Able Skills can help:
- In some instances, we can visit you at your place of work to assess you in the work place for the purposes of achieving an NVQ or
- There is a fast track system to NVQs in some trades. Experienced Worker Practical Assessment (EWPA) is available if you are experienced in your trade but have never achieved any qualifications. This does not require site assessment.
Future Plans
If you have plans to move abroad later in life and are considering moving with a construction trade, the next few years could be well spent gaining the required training, qualifications and experience. This will help your Emigration application if you can show that you have the right qualifications, have been assessed and have also spent time within the industry perfecting your skills.
