Natural Stone Tiling Courses from Able Skills
As a professional tiling centre, we are able to offer this specialist tiling training course.
Unlike other training providers, Able Skills has expert and qualified tiling instructors who have years of tiling experience, ensuring a high standard of course delivery and tuition. These Instructors are also CAA and City &Guilds approved for teaching purposes
This course is entirely hands on from beginning to end and is ideally for people who have some experience in the tiling industry or for those of you who have completed some tiling training at Able Skills.
Marble
This course will teach you how to tile with 4” x 4” natural tumbled marble. You will learn how to seal natural stone, understand required adhesives and be aware of how to enhance the stones natural features.
Slate
You will be shown how to lay 12” x 12” natural slate tile and be taught how to overcome uneven thickness of the tile when laying it onto a floor.
You will be cutting natural stone with wet wheel cutters and understanding relevant tools required to complete any job undertaken to a high standard.
You can be assured that during your tiling course at Able Skills you will be using quality tools and materials in order to produce expert finished pieces of work. You will also be able to purchase any tools you require in order to start tiling professionally once you leave the Centre.
At the end of your tiling course you will receive an Able Skills Certificate of completion and you can also have a portfolio and photographs of the stages of the work you have carried out during the period you have trained with us; this may assist you in gaining employment at a later stage.
If you are looking at a career change and want to become a full time Tiler, Able Skills also offers a 3 week tiling package incorporating a City & Guilds Unit Accreditation and 4 week tiling courses. These also cover training for tiling using Natural Stone (slate and marble). Please visit the relevant pages if you are looking for a fuller package to meet all of your tiling requirements.
If you are planning a career long term and are maybe considering a route to NVQ, Able Skills also offers you the opportunity to train for 6 weeks or 8 weeks. These longer training plans delve that little bit deeper into tiling and give you the opportunity to look at your technique, gain confidence and build speed. These particular tiling courses cover additional specialist tiling and other tiling related areas so that tiling for a living will come easy to you.
