MCS Quality System Manual & Workshop

The Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) offers Renewable Energy installers access to grants for installing a variety of renewable technologies including:

•    Solar Thermal Hot Water
•    Solar Photovoltaic
•    Heat Pumps
•    Biomass
•    also includes building control sign off and notification

Following feedback from our current customers within the renewable energy sector, we found people vastly underestimated the amount of work needed in order to meet the requirements of joining MCS - to implement a quality system which is comparable with ISO9001.

In addition to gaining knowledge of the processes involved in setting up a Quality Management System, delegates are provided with a complete suite of documentation and tools to ensure a successful MCS accreditation.

To join the scheme (MCS) an installer is required to operate a comprehensive quality assurance system. This can often seem laborious and time consuming to an installer.

Able Skills has devised this training in the form of a workshop to provide you with an easy step by step process to follow along with access to templates of relevant documentation which can be adjusted to match your business; you will finish the course with the ability to produce an individual action plan to ensure you achieve MCS efficiently and effectively.

This course is aimed at small to medium renewable energy installation companies wishing to join the MCS, and who require guidance, support and tools to ensure success.  The first day of this course is training delivery, however you will be asked to prepare relevant information prior to attendance to help us formulate your individual action plan and route to MCS. This course is generic across all the relevant MCS Scheme operators such as:

•    NAPIT
•    NICEIC
•    CORGI
•    BRE
•    ELECSA

MCS Training Day 1

•    Presentation on the MCS scheme, policy, process and documentation
•    Overview of the technologies covered
•    Potential costs involved per technology or package
•    Creating the MCS quality manual
•    Registration process and documentation

MCS Workshop Day 2

Workshop focusing on individual needs and the generic process used to ensure the MCS registration and approval is successful. The output from this workshop is an individual action plan and a suite of documentation and tools tailored to your needs and business.

Please note you will need to bring a personal laptop to get the full benefit from the workshop day.
