Electrician training courses could help restarted scheme

Tradespersons who have taken an electrician course and have their approved qualifications could benefit from a housing development in King's Lynn, which is back underway after being stalled since November 2007.
According to the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) - England's national housing and regeneration delivery agency - some £533,000 has been allocated as part of the Kickstart fund to get the Taylor Wimpey project back on its feet.
The development's final phase can now be completed, meaning that 500 homes will be delivered on the site, potentially providing work for electricians and other workers needed to fit out the properties.
Commenting on the announcement, housing minister John Healey said: "The power of Government investment is building the homes this country needs and supporting the construction industry at a time when it needs it most."
Round one of the Kickstart Programme unlocked more than 10,000 houses.
Work has now begun on round two.
