CAA Level 2 Plastering Diploma

Able Skills has been an established and reputable CAA (Construction Awards Alliance) approved training centre for some time now. We previously delivered Intermediate Construction Awards which have been replaced by Construction Diplomas and we are accredited to deliver these.

We will provide training, assessment and exams in order for you to obtain a Level 2 Construction Diploma in Plastering and additionally, we can provide on site assessment for National Vocational Qualifications.

Construction Awards Alliance Level 2 Plastering Diploma

Delivery of this particular Plastering Diploma is a mixture of both theory and practical training and assessment and there are several Plastering units which need to be completed to achieve the Plastering Diploma.

You will need to record and demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of each Plastering unit as well as demonstrating your practical skills. As such, any training centre delivering this Plastering award will need an abundance of space and both training and assessment areas for all of the Plastering units.

We have 5000 sq ft in which to teach you plastering, classrooms for studying and computer suites for your online plastering exam.

Our dedicated Plastering Centre is fully operational and equipped with up to date Plastering equipment, large training areas, large Assessment areas, dedicated Dry Lining areas, areas for floor screeding and a fibrous workshop.

We have devised our Training Centre to fit in with the reality requirements of the new Diploma. The Plastering Diploma has been introduced to ensure that any candidate is provided with as much knowledge of plastering, dry lining, rendering and screeding etc as is possible.

Any candidate completing a Plastering Diploma will find themselves entirely ready for building site employment, not just practically but also with essential knowledge relating to carrying out safe working practices, communicating with others, knowledge of building methods and construction technology.

All of the staff who will be delivering this Plastering training are qualified to both City & Guilds and CAA requirements.

They are all qualified to teach, assess and verify each aspect of the Plastering Diploma, which ensures that every stage you go through is done here, on site at Able Skills, guaranteeing consistency to help you achieve your goal.

Individually, each Plastering member of staff has a vast array of knowledge from having previously spent years working within the plastering industry. Please visit our staff page to see our Plastering Instructors

This course is suitable for people who are not at this moment working in the plastering industry and who would like to obtain the required plastering qualification to work towards becoming a professional Plasterer.

An important feature of the Plastering Diploma is that it provides a progression route towards achieving a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) in Plastering.

All Plastering Diploma units are related to their equivalent Plastering NVQ units and we will advise you what extra assessments are required to gain the related Plastering NVQ unit once you are working within the Plastering industry.

Construction Awards Alliance Level 2 Plastering Diploma

This CAA Plastering Diploma will require 6 weeks of practical Plastering training and assessment. Completion of this Plastering Diploma will be determined by all of the following:

•    Achievement of each Plastering unit by internal testing undertaken by your instructor. Each knowledge unit also has a mandatory series of Plastering questions and answers produced by CAA and managed by your instructor.
•    Synoptic Plastering practical assignment set by CAA and controlled by your instructor. Successful completion of the Plastering assignment will be needed before the Plastering qualification can be completed.

All the units of training must be completed by a candidate. All outcomes must be achieved during the training programme. Evidence from any previous site based assessment will not be accepted as contributing towards this Diploma.
