Welcome to Able Skills Construction Diploma – Plastering

Construction Awards have been replaced by Construction Diplomas.

Able Skills has been an established and reputable City & Guilds and CAA (Construction Awards Alliance) approved training centre for some time now. We previously delivered Intermediate Construction Awards which have been replaced by the new Construction Diploma and we are accredited to deliver these. We will provide training, assessment and exams in order for you to obtain a Construction Diploma in Plastering and additionally, we can provide on site assessment for National Vocational Qualifications.

These new Plastering Construction Diplomas are effective from August 2008 for anyone wishing to register.

Plastering Construction Diploma at Able Skills

Delivery of this particular Diploma is a mixture of both theory and practical training and assessment and there are several units which need to be completed to achieve the Diploma. You will need to record and demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of each unit as well as demonstrating your practical skills. As such, any training centre delivering this award will need an abundance of space and both training and assessment areas for all of the units.

We have 5000 sq ft in which to teach you plastering, classrooms for studying and computer suites for your online plastering exam.

Our dedicated Plastering Centre is fully operational and equipped with up to date Plastering equipment, large training areas, large Assessment areas, dedicated Dry Lining areas, areas for floor screeding and a fibrous workshop. We have devised our Training Centre to fit in with the reality requirements of the new Diploma. The Diploma has been introduced to ensure that any candidate is provided with as much knowledge of plastering, dry lining, rendering and screeding etc as is possible. Any candidate completing a Plastering Diploma will find themselves entirely ready for building site employment, not just practically but also with essential knowledge relating to carrying out safe working practices, communicating with others, knowledge of building methods and construction technology.

All of the staff who will be delivering this Plastering training are qualified to both City & Guilds and CAA requirements. They are all qualified to teach, assess and verify each aspect of the Plastering Diploma, which ensures that every stage you go through is done here, on site at Able Skills, guaranteeing consistency to help you achieve your goal. Individually, each Plastering member of staff has a vast array of knowledge from having previously spent years working within the plastering industry.
