City & Guilds Plumbing Course 6129 Level 3, Gas, Unvented, Energy Efficiency and Water Regulations

Able Skills has devised a plumbing training programme for those of you who have already achieved City & Guilds 6129 level 2.

The training programme now available will provide the successful candidate with a C&G level 3 plumbing qualification, registration with Logic Certification including candidate pack/portfolio, Unvented Hot Water Systems, Water Regulations (WRAS) and Energy Efficiency. This training course/qualifications is based entirely at Able Skills Plumbing and Gas Centres and all the units are delivered, assessed and verified at our Centres.

This course is available on a part time basis, 2 days per week, which provides you with the opportunity to continue working. If you are lucky enough to be working with or alongside a Corgi registered gas engineer, you could also have the opportunity to start gathering evidence towards completing your gas portfolio which upon full completion, will lead to CCN1 assessment.

Able Skills is a City & Guilds Approved Centre No.723054.
We are aware that there are many training centres in the UK offering the plumbing award 6129 and we would advise caution when you are ready to book a course like this.

Things to check before you book:

  • We recommend that you confirm the Training Centres City & Guilds Registration number and also that you enquire as to the qualifications of their staff.
  • In order for your plumbing course to run swiftly and smoothly, you should ensure that your chosen training centre has qualified Instructors, Assessors and Internal Verifiers.
  • Better still, visit the centre and view the facilities available.
  • You should be allowed access to see the training bays, chat to instructors and additionally, any existing students.
  • Lastly, confirm the timing of your course. If your intended course is to be achieved in blocks then be sure that you can return at a time of your choice and that you will not be left waiting for months on end.
  • This qualification is Industry standard and should sell itself. You should not have to endure heavy duty salesmen tactics either at a training facility or in your home.

As part of this plumbing training package, we will also register you with CITB and this will entitle you, upon successful completion, to receive a candidate pack/portfolio. Completion of this portfolio under the guidance of a Corgi registered Engineer will enable you to be assessed for CCN1 – Core gas safety, which can lead to Corgi registration in your own right.

Plumbing Regulations

Throughout the duration of this plumbing training we will be covering aspects relating to Unvented hot water systems, Water Regulations and Energy Efficiency. Towards the end of the training term you will be assessed on your knowledge and competencies within these areas and successful completion will provide you with an additional 3 qualifications.

These qualifications are essential to any plumbers looking to add a skill and qualification to their current portfolio or to enhance their position as already established plumbers.

  • Energy Efficiency: The CITB/IDHEE Energy Efficiency for Domestic Heating Certificate is for the professional heating installer who works in domestic properties, this course will prepare you for "self certification"
