Advanced Tiling Courses from Able Skills
Able skills 5 day Advanced tiling course is suitable for those of you looking to progress from our 5 day intensive course and build upon the knowledge you have already gained.
All of our tiling instructors have years of onsite experience combined with the required teaching qualifications, and therefore ensure that the quality of training is to a very high standard. Our instructors have been approved by both City & Guilds and CAA.
This tiling course is entirely hands on from start to finish. You will be participating at every stage and we feel that this method of training enhances the learning process. It is therefore recommended you bring suitable clothing and for your own safety, steel capped footwear is essential.
This advanced tiling course will demonstrate:
- How to prepare a quote.
- How to cope with more difficult obstacles such as pipes for shower attachments, toilet wastes
- Tiling behind existing sink pedestals
- behind radiators
- Tiling around sockets when sockets
We will also be concentrating on:
- Obtaining more speed and precision incorporating different materials including mosaics.
- We will also tackle more patterns including diamond pattern
- You will be taught the correct procedure to remove and replace damaged existing tiles with new tiles.
- You will also learn how to estimate tile quantities required for each individual job
- Explain and demonstrate how to lay and fit under-floor heating
Tiling tools and equipment will be fully supplied, explained and demonstrated.
At the end of your tiling course you will receive an Able Skills Certificate of completion and you can also have a portfolio and photographs of the stages of the work you have carried out during the period you have trained with us; this may assist you in gaining employment at a later stage.
Weekend Tiling Courses:
This Advanced course can also be covered over 2 consecutive week ends should you have other commitments which prevent you from attending Monday - Friday. Course content remains unaffected by this.
Our courses are suited to everyone, regardless of whether you are looking to change career or are looking to attempt projects around the home.
If you are looking at a career change and want to become a full time Tiler, Able Skills also offers a 3 week tiling package incorporating a City & Guilds Unit Accreditation and 4 week tiling courses. If you are planning a career long term and are maybe considering a route to NVQ, Able Skills also offers you the opportunity to train for 6 weeks or 8 weeks. These longer training plans delve that little bit deeper into tiling and give you the opportunity to look at your technique, gain confidence and build speed. These particular tiling courses cover additional specialist tiling and other tiling related areas so that tiling for a living will come easy to you.
