Advanced Tiling Course

Able Skills 5 day Advanced tiling course is suitable for those of you looking to progress from our 5 day intensive course and build upon the knowledge you have already gained.

This particular tiling course will help you gain speed and develop your own technique as well as providing you with the skills to undertake more complex areas of tiling. Our total hands on approach guarantees that throughout your training time at Able Skills you will be continually tiling, all with the aim of teaching you to tile to perfection.

Able Skills offers a variety of Tiling training packages, anything from 3 or 4 weeks to 6 and 8 week packages which will provide you with the opportunity to tile professionally.

If after having completed and intensive and advanced tiling course with Able Skills you feel that you would like to go on to the bigger packages, we will adjust your training time and fees to accommodate for some of the time you have already spent with us.

Whether you do decide to upgrade or not, the time spent with us will not have been wasted as you will have gained a great deal of practical knowledge.

At Able Skills, we try to make all training as accessible to everyone as possible. If you would like to learn to tile but have work or other weekly commitments, we offer this Advanced Tiling training over 2 consecutive weekends.

This course has been designed to see you move around the tiling centre, giving you the opportunity to tackle larger and more complex wall and floor areas. Having attended our Intensive course you will now have the opportunity to achieve the following:

This advanced tiling course will demonstrate:

•    How to prepare a quote
•    How to cope with more difficult obstacles such as pipes for shower attachments and toilet wastes
•    Tiling behind existing sink pedestals
•    Behind radiators
•    Tiling around sockets

We will also be concentrating on:

•    Obtaining more speed and precision incorporating different materials including mosaics.
•    We will also tackle more patterns including diamond pattern
•    You will be taught the correct procedure to remove and replace damaged existing tiles with new tiles.
•    You will also learn how to estimate tile quantities required for each individual job
•    Explain and demonstrate how to lay and fit under-floor heating

Tiling tools and equipment will be fully supplied, explained and demonstrated.

At the end of your tiling course you will receive an Able Skills Certificate of completion and you can also have a portfolio and photographs of the stages of the work you have carried out during the period you have trained with us; this may assist you in gaining employment at a later stage.

This Advanced course can also be covered over 2 consecutive week ends should you have other commitments which prevent you from attending Monday - Friday. Course content remains unaffected by this.
