Unvented Hot Water Systems Training Course
This course is designed for any candidate wishing to install or maintain Unvented Hot Water Systems.
Able Skills is set up and designed to provide training in all areas and to ensure that relevant and required training is available. Training to achieve a certificate in Unvented Hot Water Systems is beneficial to anyone currently working within the Plumbing industry and essential for those working within the Gas industry. As an approved Plumbing and Gas training Centre, it is essential that we offer everything a Plumber or Gas Engineer needs to move forward and stay up to date within the industry and in line with legal requirements.
All of the training and assessment we provide is undertaken at our Training Centre and everything we offer is readily available. We maintain small class sizes to ensure that the student/instructor ratio is manageable and acceptable to everyone in attendance.
Our Unvented Hot Water Systems course is approved and certificated by CITB and upon successful completion, it will allow membership of an industry standard competent persons scheme.
The course has been produced to enable plumbing and heating engineers to confirm their competence in unvented hot water storage systems including the installation and safety requirements of all Unvented Hot Water Systems up to 500 litres capacity and to meet Building Regulations (G3).

- Unvented hot water systems and their operating principles
- Design and installation of unvented hot water storage systems
- Maintenance of unvented hot water storage systems
- Meeting the requirements of the Building Regulations Part L1 - Conservation of Fuel and Power
- Sealed central heating systems
Unvented Hot Water Systems Course procedure
The course assessment is split into three parts.
- A multiple choice paper
- A maintenance paper
- A practical fault finding session
This Unvented Hot Water Systems course is available as a stand alone training option but is also available as part of a package which incorporates Water Regulations, Energy Efficiency and *Solar training over a 5 day period for £825.00
* Unvented Hot Water Systems Certification is a pre-requisite for any Solar training course.

The price includes training, assessment, certification fee and course manual. This course is lead by qualified and competent staff who are all registered Assessors with CITB.
