ACS Gas Assessment & Re-Assessment at Weekends
Able Skills CITB Approved ACS Gas Training and Assessment Centre is now open and available at weekends for those of you who have ongoing commitments throughout the week.
The option to train or have assessments or reassessments at weekends may particularly suit existing and experienced engineers who are unable to take any time out during the week due to work commitments or similar.
If you are working within or returning to the Gas industry, Able Skills has flexible weekend training/assessment options for you to consider.
Our qualified team of gas trainers and assessors will provide guidance, support and assistance in a realistic environment to see you through your assessment process to enable you to continue to work safely and legally within the gas industry as laid down by the ACS scheme.
Able Skills can offer a wide range of training and assessment to the latest government guidelines in our purpose built gas workshop and gas training centre.
Training and Revision
We are aware that every candidate who approaches Able Skills Gas Centre is different. Some have major training needs, some have minor training needs and some may feel that they have no training needs at all but with legislation ever changing, we have built training/revision into our fees to ensure that safety and standards are maintained.
Every Gas Installer has different needs or different history and experience so please feel free to call us so that we can fully understand your Gas Assessment and possible training requirements to enable us to provide a more accurate costing for you.
We can cater for all requests and will happily put together a weekend training plan for you.
If you feel ready for an initial assessment or are due reassessment, please give us a call so we can help you to complete the process.

CORGI > Gas Safe Register
The way Gas Installers register is changing……
Gas Safe Register will replace CORGI gas registration in Great Britain on 1 April 2009. It will be the official industry stamp for gas safety.
The Health and Safety Executive, who is responsible for regulating gas safety in Great Britain, will oversee Gas Safe Register.
The new register will provide enhanced levels of service and clearly written rules of registration. There will also be new services and benefits designed to improve the registration scheme and promote gas safety.
Please visit www.gassaferegister.co.uk for details of how the changes affect new and existing Gas Operatives
