What You’ll Learn

You will learn how to become a level 3 Plumber as well as get an insight in to working within the Gas industry.

This course will take you through basic plumbing subjects such as:

  • Electrical principles and processes
  • Common plumbing processes
  • Cold water systems
  • Domestic hot water systems
  • Sanitation
  • Central heating systems
  • Drainage systems

before moving you on to learn about:

  • Environmental technology systems
  • Plumbing system installation planning
  • Complex cold water systems
  • Domestic hot water
  • Sanitation and drainage systems
  • Central heating systems

Successful completion of these will produce City & Guilds 6035-02/03 certification for you.

In addition you will have an insight into the requirements of a Gas Engineer by learning about:

  • Legislation
  • Tightness testing
  • Pipework requirements
  • Gas safety controls
  • Flueing
  • Ventilation
  • Unsafe situations

As if this wasn’t enough, you will also receive training to achieve qualifications relating to:

  • WRAS (Water Regulations)
  • Energy Efficiency (Part L)
  • Vented/Unvented Hot Water Systems (G3)

This package will provide you with 5 certificates/qualifications and also give you the opportunity to consider moving on to achieve Gas qualifications (ACS).


How You’ll Learn

This package will provide you with both practical and theory training. Classroom tuition is key to help you to achieve the various exams that you will sit and the work-shop training will prepare you for the many practical assessments that you will need to undertake.

The courses are instructor lead with regular practical demonstrations to assist you, you will have time to practice various aspects of plumbing installations before undertaking assessments.

The classroom time is spent learning as much about domestic plumbing as possible however we are aware that on occasion, people slip up and may not pass an exam or two but not to worry, we don’t charge for re-sits, instead we use your results to establish your progress and assess any weak spots with the aim of bringing you back to the level required and a positive result on a re-sit.

We will provide you with the City & Guilds reference books to support the C&G 6035 courses, these are yours to keep. We will also provide a very comprehensive set of notes to assist with the gas aspect of the package, again, these are yours to keep and refer to in the future.

All tools and materials are provided to ensure that everything you need to complete the course is readily available and your learning will never be hindered by a lack of anything.
