At Able Skills Construction Training we like to keep up with trends in the industry. This year has seen a huge demand for home improvements. Likely due to people spending more time than usual at home throughout the pandemic. That time has made people want to upgrade their households equalling massive demand for tradespeople of all types.

An enormous 66% of homeowners are planning to make home improvements in 2021/22! This is big for the industry as it means even more demand for tradespeople. Tradesmen and women in general are going to be very busy for the next couple of years. And those thinking about a career switch will be welcomed by an abundance of work and higher earnings than usual.

The last 2-years have been a roller-coaster for both customers, businesses and people in general. However these figures and the general shift in activity in the trade sector shows that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and in fact the country will bounce back to levels beyond what we saw before the pandemic.

Here at our centre we help people start life-long careers through hands-on training. Our instructors have years of experience in their trades and our facilities replicate real-world scenarios giving you a fantastic chance to gain experience whilst you learn.

Don't take our word for it:

I just took the introduction to plastering course, split over 2 weekends. It was taught by Jo & Neal. Both of the tutors were good fun, had good stories, & plenty of plastering experience between them. The teaching really made a difference, it was clearly explained & there was plenty of plastering. A good introduction to plastering. Thanks

Did the 5 day intro bricklaying course to just learn some basics for doing work at my own home. Really great course - learned how to get started and tips which I can now take back and use. I work at a keyboard 5 days a week so it was also a great change of scenery.

Simon, the tutor, was great. Always happy to give dedicated time when necessary but also happy to leave you to get in with it abs learn from mistakes. Highly recommend to anyone with a similar motivation to me.
