Electrical safety is very important.

Don’t Overload Outlets:

This may seem obvious but people do it anyway and although it may not cause problems at first, however, an extension cord with multiple appliances plugged in over a prolonged amount of time can cause a very serious electrical fire. Try keeping one particular outlet designated for charging electronic devices and avoid the use of extenders. If any outlet is sparking or is emitting a burning odour then unplug, turn the switch off and get in a professional electrician as a soon as possible!

Childproof Outlets:

Kids get up to everything when you are not looking, for their safety and your peace of mind is it extremely beneficial that you get some childproof outlets installed, they eliminate the chance of shock - They appear identical to standard wall outlets, they are anything but. Spring-loaded receptacle cover plates protect electrical contacts, preventing the insertion of objects when unequal pressure is applied to the receptacle's contact points and are 100% more useful than plastic outlet covers that can easily be taken off even by young children.

Risks Outside:

You may think that kids are safe from any electrical problems outside, however, transformers can be problematic. Electrical boxes are dangerous, playing in the dirt surrounding them is not a good idea. Electrical boxes indicate that there are electrical wires buried underneath the ground, so kids should steer clear of that area entirely. Tell them if they notice any damage to the boxes or components not to touch them and to tell you right away so you can get a qualified electrician over.
