Due to the current uncertainty at this moment in time, we want to bring attention to our 'Home-Study' options for our plumbing courses. You can get started now, at home with our Home Study Level 2 Plumbing Course option is a great way to get learning in your own time and space. This course works by giving you the materials needed to learn the theory surrounding the trade of plumbing, our 'Home-Study Pack' will include everything you need and can be sent to you straight away! This course is designed to reduce the total amount of time needed at our centre, however, we do recommend that you take your time with these materials and that you don't rush in any way. You will need to make sure that you fully understand all of the information that you are being presented with before attending our training facility...You can book the course now, we will send you the materials needed to understand the theory and once we are back open here in Dartford, Kent you can book time for practical learning and assessments!

Will I gain the same qualification?
There is absolutely no difference when it comes to the final result of the course, upon successful completion you will receive a City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate. The exact same as the traditional course, the only difference is the way that you achieve it. This award is normally completed over a 6-week period, however, this 'Home-Study' option will be completed through 6-weeks of at-home learning with the Home-Study pack accompanied with the access to the online learning platform 'Smart-screen' followed by 4-weeks of at centre practical learning and completion of assessments. Those 4-weeks will be chosen by you and should all be separate. Once you have completed your plumbing home study learning pack and you are ready to tackle the exams and the practical tasks, you can call and book your training slots with us.
Will I get the same practical training?
The traditional Level 2 Plumbing Course is a real mix of both classroom-based theory learning and practical experience. This Home Study Level 2 Plumbing Course simply allocates 4-weeks worth of practical learning and assessments, meaning you will gain almost the exact same training. The only difference is that you will be replacing the instructor with the 'Home-Study Pack' for the theoretical learning, which means you may not gain insight from somebody who has been there, out in the industry working the trade but if you have an existing job or need to spend time at home then this option is a lifeline for those looking to gain new skills, knowledge and eventually make a switch of careers to a life of plumbing.
What will I learn?
This course's purpose is to teach you to become a plumber from scratch, even with little experience this course will give you all of the aspects needed to become a professional. It is all about putting the time in and if you do you will be rewarded with a valuable trade skill. Studying at your own pace the course will cover everything, from the most basic of lessons to more advanced subjects in the trade. Our talented instructors will provide you with fantastic practical capabilities and will give you the valuable skills that you will go on to use on a daily basis, however, the course will start with you, the pack will cover the following topics and more...

- Electrical principles and processes for building services engineering
- Scientific principles for domestic, industrial and commercial plumbing

You could even consider Gas!
The two trades go hand in hand and many plumbing professionals take on the skill of gas later in their career. However, if you're getting ahead of the curve now, learning your plumbing theory you could essentially come into our centre complete your practical lessons for plumbing as well as assessments and then jump right into our Qualified Plumber Gas Training Package 2 which is an all-inclusive package for those who understand the fundamentals of plumbing and includes 5-weeks of training, portfolio completion and an ACS assessment. All of which are needed when looking to become a Gas Safe Registered Engineer!
