How do Home-Study Electrical Courses Work?

 

We like to give as many people as possible a chance to study here at Able Skills, but not everybody has the time to be here on a daily basis. That's is why we have devised home-study options, courses like our Home Study Electrics Level 2 and Level 3 which give those people an opportunity to gain a qualification in their own time!

 

 

How Does It Work?

 

So after enrolling, we send you a 'Home Study Pack'. This pack includes the entire theory aspect of the course as well as other bits of essential information to help prepare you for your 4 practical weeks and online exams at Able Skills. You have the ability to pick and choose which weeks are best for you to undergo your practical training one week at a time.

Included within the pack is the opportunity for self-assessment so candidates can check their knowledge and progress along the way. We would expect you to spend at least 3 to 6 months studying the theory aspect of this award before you make arrangements to attend Able Skills to undertake exams and to start the practical training.

When you feel ready and you are confident in the knowledge gained from studying at home you can book in the 4-weeks at your discretion. To give you extra help at home, we supply you with a 'SmartScreen' login providing you with additional help!

Is the Qualification the same? 

 

Yes! you will receive the exact same level of qualification! The only difference is the home-study theoretical learning. All students will receive a City & Guilds Certificate allowing them to receive their ECS Card and begin working on-site...
