How much are Electrician earning in 2020?

The time has come around again where the Office of National Statistics or ONS release statistics on the earnings of those in the trade industry. It comes as no surprise that Electricians are taking the prize for the highest yearly earnings for 2020! Their earnings have increased yet again by around 2.7% resulting in an average salary of £33,500. Meanwhile here at Able Skills we are continuing to help aspiring Electricians learn and develop their knowledge and ability through our comprehensive Electrician courses during this second lockdown with social distancing measures in place to maintain a safe and reliable environment for both our students and staff.

Want to get started with Electrical training?

When looking to get started training in electrics you'll want to be working towards an industry-recognised qualification. Currently at our centre we have space on our 7-week City & Guilds Level 2 Electrical Course starting on June 21st 2021, we also have spaces on a weekend basis starting February 20th. This is the perfect starting point and will give you a foundation of knowledge and hands-on practical skills to build upon. If you would like to get started sooner than next summer then you may be interested in our Home Study Electrics Level 2 - This alternative training method is exclusive to Able Skills and means that you could get started this week!

Our Level 2 Home-Study course starts at home. Simply, you will replace the instructor with our specially comprised 'Home-Study Pack'. The pack will include all of the relevant theory information, definitions, calculations, diagrams and so on. In addition, included in the pack will be a set of questions for you to test yourself with. You'll sutdy the entire pack in the comfort of your own home at your own pace and can take as long as you would like to study.

Once you are confident that you have gained a good understanding of what you have been provide it will be time to contact us. When you contact us the next step will be to arrange 4-weeks or 20-days worth of time to attend our centre to learn the hands-on practical electrical skills and to complete the relevant assessments in order to achieve your qualification. These 20-days can be chosen to suit you and should be spread out as appose to being in one 4-week block. Taking on this 'Home-Study' option instead of the traditional City & Guilds Level 2 Electrical Course results in the exact same level of qualification and during the practical side you will experience the exact same quality of training from the very same instructors.
