About  J C Gardens & Climbing Frames

JC Gardens & Climbing Frames is a small, independent company based in Battersea, South London specialising in the design and construction of bespoke wooden climbing frames and play areas for children.

The company’s climbing frames are custom made to order by hand, then erected on site by highly skilled craftsmen. JC Garden’s clients include schools, local councils as well as private clients – mostly in London – but also all over the UK. With annual exhibits at the Chelsea Flower Show, this is a flourishing business with plenty going on.

The Vacancy: Playground Equipment Installer

This role is open to applicants on a permanent basis following the completion of a 2 week, fully paid trial period. Key responsibilities include:

  • Plotting out & marking where posts will be concreted into the ground accurately & using a hole borer machine.
  • Assembling prefabricated machined roundwood climbing frame kits to a high standard ensuring all components are level and sound
  • Working under guidance from the team leader
  • Driving to and from jobs. A driving license is preferred and all costs will be covered.

Salary

Starting pay is £8 per hour for an 8 hour day or more.
