Kind plumber receives £80k in public donations:

You may have seen this story in the week...A self-employed plumber received praise online after generously refusing to charge an elderly disabled woman to fix her boiler. Apparently he has been doing free work for the elderly for quite some time out of his own pocket. This humble and kind and began to become viral online!

Here at Able Skills, we play host to the start of peoples careers. Plumbing is a great trade to become involved with - the opportunity is very fruitful, being in demand constantly and the prospect of becoming self-employed is very attractive...

We have the courses, instructors and equipment to help you prepare for a career in the trade. If you are looking for a starting point, without previous experience then we recommend that you first take on our Introduction to Plumbing course - this course will lay the foundation for you to build upon. The 5-day course is short, but intensive and is ideal for gaining basic introductory plumbing skills with a City and Guilds certificate at the end.

Upon completion of the Introduction to Plumbing course if you are happy and you think that the trade is for you, then the next step would be to take on a City & Guilds Level 2 Plumbing Course. This is where you will really begin to learn the essential knowledge and practical ability of the trade. We will teach you a variety of subjects so that you are up to scratch with the national standard of plumbers! If you are looking to complete this course then you have a few options:

A full-time basis means that you will take the course during weekdays from Monday - Friday. Part-time:

Yes, that is right we offer plumbing courses on a part-time basis which means that you will be able to study the course over a series of weekends.
