Our Inspection and Testing courses are a great example of this - Our Level 3 Award in Inspection and Testing is aimed at those already working out in the industry that have not carried out this kind of task since qualifying and or those who require some updated knowledge on the topic. What will I learn?
This course is 6-days in total and will aim to give you a comprehensive look at the topic of the process of first inspecting an installation and testing it with the correct equipment. Our instructors are experts in the trade of electrics and will be guiding you through things like safe isolation of an electrical installation through demonstrations and guiding you through how to Understand and interpret test results in a classroom setting. Our instructors have a lot of experience teaching this particular subject and will aim to have you leave the centre feeling confident in your ability to carry out Inspection and Testing on both new and existing installations. Ultimately they will be preparing you for both the online and written exams which will both be taken here at the centre.
Although this electrical course is 6-days in total, the initial 5-days will be where you learn the processes of Inspection and Testing and the final day will be reserved for the practical examination as well as the written exam. During this time you will learn everything you need to know, the instructor will make reference to Guidance Note 3 and provide handouts and a learner pack, assisted by a Power-point presentation. Guidance note 3 is a fundamental guidance book by the IET or Institution of Engineering and Technology, which contains essential guidance for those studying for inspection and testing qualifications and has been fully updated in accordance with the 18th Edition, the latest edition of the wiring regulations.
