Our Electrician courses and other training to resume from the 8th of March!

Here at Able Skills we are happy to announce that we will slowly but surely be opening our doors again following the 8th of March. This news comes as the government outlines it's plans for getting out of lockdown and getting back to normality as safely as possible. We have been preparing our centre for re-opening during lockdown and have renovated several workshops within our centre. We look forward to brining you the electrical training you need whether you are a complete beginner looking to learn the trade or you are an experienced trader looking to achieve an NVQ, an AM2 or maybe something more advanced like our Level 4 Award in the Design and Verification of Electrical Installations...

Obviously all cannot go straight back to normal on the 8th and we will be continuing to keep our centre as safe and reliable as possible through the use of face coverings, reduced class sizes, hand sanitation, social distancing and so on. However, we will be looking to get our entire range of courses back on track. For example if you're thinking about starting a new career you'll want to take on our City & Guilds Level 2 Electrical Course as this course is a starting point that includes a lot of essential training that will start you on the path to a successful career.
I've been on a Home-Study course, when can I start the practical side?
So, we have already begun contacting those who have taken part in either our Home-Study Level 2 Electrical course as well as Level 3 and our Plumbing Home-Study option. We will start bringing students in gradually for their practical half of the course as soon as possible. If you would like some more information on your role in particular then feel free to give us a call on 0808 100 3245! Our office team are working to answer questions, take booking and arrange training for those on these particular options.
What is the best way to start an electrical career?
Well, if you are serious about starting a career in the trade then you will eventually want to achieve a JIB Gold card. This is a form of identification for professional electricians that is evidence that you are a fully qualified and trusted electrician, the card will help you when looking for jobs on construction sites and much more. To help you achieve this we offer a complete all in one package - Our Gold Card Approved Electrician Package that includes almost every electrical course that we offer at our training centre such as City & Guilds Level 2, City & Guilds Level 3, PAT Testing, 18th Edition, Inspection & Testing and an AM2 assessment! Overall the training will take around 15-weeks to complete with some additional assessments dates to iron out, the course comes at a reduced rate when compared to taking each qualification separately and is a fantastic opportunity for any new entry.
