We are returning to in-centre electrician training courses from the 8th of March. We will still have safety measures in place to ensure that we are maintaining a safe and reliable space for people to learn and develop their electrical skills. We offer a complete range of electrical training options from the most basic aspects to more advanced subjects within the trade. We currently have spaces on our PAT Testing course starting on the 18th of March!
What is PAT Testing?
PAT Testing or Portable Appliance Testing is the process by which electrical appliances are routinely checked for safety. Our Portable Appliance Course will cover electrical safety regulations, role and responsibilities, insulation and earthing, classification of appliances, preliminary inspection, test precautions, appliance testing using a portable tester, essential and optional tests, labelling tests, reporting and recording results and implementing a test programme.
A full PAT test includes a visual inspection of the appliance and an in-depth check using specialised PAT testing equipment. During the 2-day course you will be taught the subject from one of our expert instructors. The course is predominantly theory based as there are on-line exams to complete however there is also a practical assessment associated with the C&G 2377-22 award so practical training with the aid of PAT testing equipment will be undertaken.
