An 18th Edition Courses at Able Skills!

Having an understanding of the 18th Edition (Wiring Regulations) is essential for everybody who works with electrical installations. The aim of this 3-day electrician course is to gain familiarity with the layout, content and application of the BS 7671: 2018 18th Edition Regulations. You'll be able to talk to an instructor face-to-face and ask questions and even rewatch these upcoming online lessons. Virtual learning seems to be a great way to bring opportunities and qualifications to electricians during this period of lockdown and will most likely remain as a method we provide training alongside our many other options for electrical training...We'll keep you updated on when this course will be able to be booked through social media and here on our website.

What will this course include?

We'll be bringing you the same course content as our on-site training the only difference here is that the information is presented online, you will need to complete the exam at our centre, however.  This course will not teach you to understand every regulation in the blue-book itself; you would struggle to find a course that would, however, our expert instructors teaching this course will convey how to find information, what the information means and how to implement these principles whilst carrying out electrical installations. You will also cover:

  • Scope, object and fundamental principles
  • Definitions
  • Assessment of general characteristics
  • Protection for safety
  • Selection and erection of equipment
  • Inspection and testing
  • Special installations or locations
  • Appendices
