Construction Training at Able Skills

Able Skills have yet another busy week ahead! We have both Technical and Construction Courses running, ranging from Gas Courses, Electrical Courses, Bricklaying and everything inbetween! The training will take part throughout our various centres here at Ableskills so make sure you keep an eye out for our live videos!

ACS Refresher

Firstly, let's talk about the guys who are in this week for their ACS Refresher days! Running over 2 days, this makes for the perfect chance for guys who are looking to undergo their ACS Exams but need a quick refresher on their Gas Courses since completing them. Being fresh in their mind, many students then go on to take their ACS Exams the following week.

Qualified Plumber Gas Training

Being a very popular option for those who have completed the City & Guilds Accredited Level 2 Plumbing Course, the Qualified Plumber Gas Training Course helps you cut out 2 weeks and narrow the usual New Entrants Gas Training down from 7 to 5! This Gas Course is only available for those who hold recognised plumbing qualifications but are still new to the world of Gas. Being very popular amongst our Gas Courses, it's good to know all of our Gas Courses are Bpec accredited!

Electrical Courses!

One of our Electrical Centres this week will be hosting the in depth City & Guilds Accredited Level 3 Electrical Course! Being a natural step up for students who have previously completed their Level 2, this course is great for taking your understanding to the next level! For those that may not know, here's what's covered:

  • 301 - Level 3 Understand the fundamental principles and requirements of environmental technology systems, assessed by way of an online exam
  • 302 - Level 3 Principles of Electrical Science, assessed by way of a 2 hour written exam and a short practical task
  • 303 - Level 3 Electrical Installations: Fault Diagnosis and Rectification, assessed by way of online exam and a practical assessment
  • 304 - Level 3 Electrical Installations: Inspection, Testing and Commissioning, assessed by way of online exam, a practical assessment and a 2 hour written exam
