Access the very best carpentry and joinery courses in the capital. Able Skills’ team of expert and enthusiastic instructors pass on their vast experience and knowledge, helping you to develop and build your carpentry skill set and progress your career.

Why choose Able Skills?

Our joinery and carpentry courses in London always prove to be popular. We like to think that this is not just because we offer the best training in the market place, but also because of the great relationships our teachers develop with their students. All our instructors have been there and done that, amassing years of experience in the trade that they just love to pass on. It’s this infectious enthusiasm for their work, and an understanding of the best way to learn new skills that keeps students coming back to Able Skills.

Our carpentry course London centre has been created to allow you access to all the essential skills you need for a career in the trade. Whether that’s learning the basics, like hanging doors or bench joinery, to learning how to use cutting machines correctly and tackling complex roofing assignments.

The courses

We offer an extensive range of carpentry and joinery courses in London, covering everything from a few days to twelve weeks intensive training. There are also lots of stand-alone course options too, or you can combine courses during your stay. If you want to learn some basic carpentry skills, then our five-day carpentry course provides a great grounding in the essentials. There are also four-week carpentry or joinery courses that offer a hands-on approach for anyone not especially concerned with qualifications.

However, we also run certified courses for anyone who wants an official qualification for their CV. Our most popular courses include the six-week C&G carpentry course, the eight-week C&G/NVQ carpentry course and the ten- week C&G combined carpentry and joinery course. We also offer both carpentry and joinery C&G diplomas.

For students who already have five or more years experience in the trade, we are also fully accredited by CITB to assess in-house for NVQ level 2. This is known as the EWPA route.

Why we’re different

We are also able to create bespoke courses to suit your specific training needs. Just get in touch to discuss with our team exactly what you want to achieve in terms of your carpentry or joinery development and we’ll design a course around you.
