What You’ll Learn
The seventeenth edition course is aimed at practicing electricians, electrical contractors and those who require to have a good working knowledge of BS 7671. The aim of this 3 day electrical training course is to gain familiarity with the layout, content and application of the BS 7671: 2008 (2382-15) 17th Edition Regulations. The purpose, structure and content of the updated IEE On-Site Guide will also be covered and delegates will appreciate how to use this in support of the BS 7671. It is intended to ensure that on completion of this course, individuals are conversant with the format, content and the application of the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671: 2008 (2382-15) 17th Edition Regulations. A basic understanding of electrical principles is recommended in order to be successful on this course which is fast becoming industry standard.
How You’ll Learn
This course is entirely classroom based, it introduces wiring regulations and covers their application through explanation and worked examples. We will ensure that you are fully prepared for the City & Guilds 2382-15 test which is a 2-hour multiple-choice, on-line examination. The exam is 'open book', meaning that you will be able to look up wiring regs and refer to the 17th edition book during the exam process.
Courses Open To You After
From this course you can move on to Inspection and Testing qualifications: C&G 2394 (Initial Verification) or C&G 2395 (Periodic Inspection & Testing) or maybe PAT Testing. If you do not hold any electrical qualifications and would like to work becoming a fully qualified Electrician to work in Commercial/Industrial premises, the C&G 2365 at level 2 would be a very good starting point for you.
This 3 day regs course runs regularly at Able Skills both through the week and at weekends. A deposit will secure a booking with any balance being paid on the start date. You will need a copy of the current IET Wiring Regulations (BS7671:2008 Incorporating Amendment Number 3:2015) (Guidance Note) as this course has an open-book exam.
Duration & Cost
This is a 3 day course. The cost is £375 including vat. A £150 deposit will secure a booking and the balance can be paid on the course start date.
