Now that restrictions are being lifted, there are changes in all trades. In the world of Gas Engineers, there is new demand, as businesses require the services of engineers in order to reopen. According to research by tar HHIC or Heating and Hot water Industry Council this years boiler sales have been up by 41%. Meaning that sales have not just bounced back from 2020 and the pandemic but even surpassed usual rates. People seem to be investing in home renovation, preparing for social gatherings and so on as we look forward beyond the annoyance of Covid.

What does this news mean?

Well, simply put 674,063 units have been sold during the first four months of this year, compared to just 476,847 in the same period in 2020. This huge difference means that there is currently plenty of work for working Gas Engineers. Meaning that the industry getting back on an upwards trajectory.

It also means that those working out in the industry will see an increase in earnings through either completing more jobs and or being payed a higher rate simply due to demand and the general lack of qualified, reputable Gas Engineers in the UK.

Did you know that the average salary for Gas Engineer jobs is £37,500. Those Gas engineers in the UK that keep British homes and businesses running by installing, maintaining, testing, and repairing gas appliances have a choice: to work for a company or to be self-employed. Becoming self-employed can greatly increase your potential earnings.
