City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Course

This level 3 Electricians qualification is the natural progression from C&G 2365 level 2 or for those of you who hold other Electrical industry recognised qualifications like C&G 2360 Part 1 or C&G 2330 level 2. This qualification is required if you are looking to progress within the Electrical industry or if you are looking to move on and achieve NVQ level 3.

This C&G 2365 level 3 is available in a variety of ways.

Full Time - 6 weeks

(Week 6 is a part week due to assessment strategy)

£3,195 including vat

A £1,000 deposit will secure a booking and the balance can be paid in 6 weekly instalments of £365.83

Course times are Monday to Friday - 08.30 - 16.00 including bank holidays

Part Time - 15 Weekends

(Part Time training consists of 2 consecutive weekends of training per month)

£3,495 including vat

A £1,000 deposit will secure a booking, and the balance can be paid in 7 instalments of £356.42 – payable on the first weekend of each block of training.

Course times are Saturday and Sunday - 08.30 - 16.00

What you’ll learn

This is the natural progression for anyone who holds a level 2 Electrical Installation qualification (C&G 2365-02 or C&G 2330 or EAL level 2 in Electrical Installation (600/6724/X)) and is the next step towards becoming a qualified Electrician. The C&G 2365 level 3 is the industry recognised route for Electricians looking to achieve that next level of electrical knowledge and skills, providing an advanced understanding of electrical science, inspection & testing procedures, fault diagnosis and rectification and installation design.

Assessment Units are:

301 - Level 3 Understand the fundamental principles and requirements of environmental technology systems, assessed by way of an online exam
302 - Level 3 Principles of Electrical Science, assessed by way of a 2 hour written exam and a short practical task
303 - Level 3 Electrical Installations: Fault Diagnosis and Rectification, assessed by way of online exam and a practical assessment
304 - Level 3 Electrical Installations: Inspection, Testing and Commissioning, assessed by way of online exam, a practical assessment and a 2 hour written exam
305 - Level 3 Electrical Systems Design, assessed by a written design assignment and an online exam
308 - Level 3 Career awareness in building services engineering, assessed by a written assignment and a short answer exam.

How you’ll learn

This qualification is a real mix of both practical workshop tasks as well as classroom based theory. We will provide you with the relevant text book and hand-outs to support the course which are yours to keep! We have a dedicated computer suite in which you will undertake the mandatory online exams and our practical training bays are equipped with training boards set to exceed specific City & Guilds requirements and all tools and materials are readily available for all of your electrical requirements. We also have an abundance of up to date test equipment for you to use throughout the training course. We will take you as close as we can to ‘reality’ to prepare you for your next steps within the electrical industry.

Our Level 3 Electrical Installation course is available full-time over six weeks, with a part-time weekend option also available. A home study option is available too. Please note that weekend courses are priced higher than the full-time option.

Weekend training follows a flexible two-weekends-on, two-weekends-off schedule, giving you time to balance your training with other work, study or personal commitments.

To support your learning, we provide access to the City & Guilds (C&G) SmartScreen online learning resource, along with the Level 3 C&G textbook. We also recommend purchasing a copy of the On-Site Guide and the current Wiring

Regulations. As some elements of the course can be completed electronically, bringing a laptop with you may also be beneficial.

We understand that investing in your training is an important decision, which is why we offer interest-free payment plans to help spread the cost. If you’re travelling from further afield, accommodation is also available close to the training centre at £35 per night.

We’re proud of our training facilities and experienced instructors, and we welcome visitors who would like to see the centre before committing to a course.

You’re welcome to drop in without an appointment, Monday to Friday between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. Our team will be happy to show you around to explain the available training options and answer any questions you may have.

We’re also open to visitors on two weekends per month. Please call ahead to confirm weekend visitor availability.

Location

All of our courses take place at our dedicated training centre in Dartford, Kent. The centre is easily accessible by road, being just 10 minutes from junction 1a on the M25. We are only a short walk from Dartford train station which is served by frequent trains taking 35 minutes from central London. For anyone travelling from further away, we have our own accommodation available at only £35 per night.
