Our Level 3 Electrical course can either be undertaken at our training centre or alternatively our home study option lets you start your learning from home and then complete the practical elements of the course at our training centre at a later date.

What You’ll Learn
This is the natural progression for anyone who holds a level 2 Electrical Installation qualification (C&G 2365-02 or C&G 2330 or EAL level 2 in Electrical Installation (600/6724/X)) and is the next step towards becoming a qualified Electrician. The C&G 2365 level 3 is the industry recognised route for Electricians looking to achieve that next level of electrical knowledge and skills, providing an advanced understanding of electrical science, inspection & testing procedures, fault diagnosis and rectification and installation design.
Assessment Units are:
- 301 - Level 3 Understand the fundamental principles and requirements of environmental technology systems, assessed by way of an online exam
- 302 - Level 3 Principles of Electrical Science, assessed by way of a 2 hour written exam and a short practical task
- 303 - Level 3 Electrical Installations: Fault Diagnosis and Rectification, assessed by way of online exam and a practical assessment
- 304 - Level 3 Electrical Installations: Inspection, Testing and Commissioning, assessed by way of online exam, a practical assessment and a 2 hour written exam
- 305 - Level 3 Electrical Systems Design, assessed by a written design assignment and an online exam
- 308 - Level 3 Career awareness in building services engineering, assessed by a written assignment and a short answer exam.
How You’ll Learn
This qualification is a real mix of both practical workshop tasks as well as classroom based theory. We will provide you with the relevant text book and hand-outs to support the course which are yours to keep! We have a dedicated computer suite in which you will undertake the mandatory online exams and our practical training bays are equipped with training boards set to exceed specific City & Guilds requirements and all tools and materials are readily available for all of your electrical requirements. We also have an abundance of up to date test equipment for you to use throughout the training course. We will take you as close as we can to ‘reality’ to prepare you for your next steps within the electrical industry.
Courses Open To You After
From this course you can move on to 18th Edition, PAT Testing, Inspection & Testing qualifications and NVQ level 3 and we also have a dedicated AM2 Centre which is an independent test of your skills and knowledge and is highly regarded within the Electrical industry as well as being a mandatory unit within the NVQ process.
Additional Info
This course is available full time over 6 weeks but is also available using weekend training. Weekends are structured on a 2 weekend on and then 2 weekend off basis which still leaves you time to do other ‘non work’ or ‘non study’ related activities. We will supply you with access to C&G Smartscreen system which is a supporting online learning resource as well as the level 3 C&G text book which supports the course however, we do also recommend that you have a copy of the OnSite Guide and also a copy of the current Wiring Regulations. Some small aspects of the work associated with a level 3 course can be completed electronically so you may want to bring a lap top along with you.
We offer interest free payment plans and we also have accommodation if you feel that we are just that little bit too far away from you to travel daily.

Please be aware that we require you to hold a level 2 Electrical Installation qualification: 2365-02 or 2330-01 or EAL Electrical Installation (600/6724/X) in order to join us for level 3.
Location
All of our courses take place at our dedicated training centre in Dartford, Kent. The centre is easily accessible by road, being just 10 minutes from junction 1a on the M25. We are only a short walk from Dartford train station which is served by frequent trains taking 35 minutes from central London. For anyone travelling from further away, we have our own accommodation available at only £25 per night.

Duration & Cost
The full time training option is undertaken in 6 weeks, the cost is £2995 including VAT. A £1000 deposit will secure a start date and the balance can be paid in 6 weekly instalments of £332.50
The weekend option is 15 weekends of attendance over a 30 week period as training is set for 2 weekends per month. Again, a £1000 deposit secures a booking and the balance is payable in 7 interest free instalments of £266.00 and 1 final payment of £133.00 - payable on the first weekend of every training block.
Please be aware that there is also a Home Study option available.
