What You’ll Learn

This 6 week Plastering course will provide you with in depth training to cover several areas of essential plastering. You will be consistently assessed by our qualified Plastering instructors, building a portfolio of your work as you go. This course has been put together specifically to provide you with the skills that we think you will need to source work and continue working. A great deal of thought has gone in to developing this training programme as we feel at Able Skills that some of the qualifications that are available, simply do not meet the requirements of the industry or the requirements of the student.

This 6 weeks of hands on plastering training will see you progress from a novice to a competent Plasterer with the course designed to build your skills gradually until various aspects of plastering becomes second nature and at this Centre where ‘reality’ is important, this is easily achieved.

The course is designed to build your skills gradually by providing training on smaller plastering work and building to the more complex areas as the course progresses.

The areas in which you will be trained on are:

  • Plasterboard and skim a ceiling
  • Direct bond and skim with plaster
  • Plasterboard and skim patch repair
  • Plasterboard, float and set patch repair
  • Prepare and plaster ceiling
  • Plaster, float and skim wall with window

How You’ll Learn

This 6 weeks of hands on ‘reality’ training will cover all of the basic and essential skills that any Plasterer will need in order to provide a competent service to any potential customer.
