At Able Skills, we’ve been delivering high-quality trade training for more than 20 years. Throughout this period, we’ve grown to become one of the country’s most respected and leading providers of construction learning.

Along with our fantastic team of tutors, which is made up of time-served experts specific to each trade profession, our facilities are a big part of what sets us apart from other training centres.
Built to mimic real-life work environments, our facilities have been carefully designed to help you tackle the kinds of tasks you would expect to find when out in the field.
Getting here
The centre is located in Dartford, Kent, easily accessible by both bus and train, and we have plenty of on-site parking for those who plan to drive. For those travelling from further afield, we offer comfortable, affordable accommodation close to the centre.
Inside the Able Skills training centre
The Able Skills training centre is one of the largest in the country, and each trade skill is taught in its own dedicated area. This helps us to keep all lessons completely focused on a single skill set, and ensures everyone has more than enough space to work without distractions.
On the ground level of Unit K1, you will find our centre for bricklaying, and upstairs, we have our centre for carpentry.
Downstairs in Unit K2 is our tiling centre, while upstairs is an additional centre for carpentry training.
Unit K3’s lower level boasts one of several gas training centres, while the upper-level houses the first of our electrical units.
In Unit K4, there are dedicated classroom and exam spaces for those completing the theoretical elements of their learning, and upstairs, is an area for those undertaking their AM2.
Both our plastering and decorating centres are housed in Unit K5, while Unit K6 houses a plumbing and additional electrical centre.
Electrical Level 2 training is delivered downstairs in Unit K7. This unit offers extra space for gas training upstairs, as well as an ACS assessment area.
Unit K8 also features centres for plumbing and gas training, along with a commercial gas assessment area upstairs.
Electrical Level 2 and Level 3 training is delivered in Unit K9, with this space also offering multiple classroom spaces.
