Able Skills are delighted to tell the story of one of our former students who has become a fully qualified electrician and NVQ assessor after completing our electrical courses.Clive Baker came to us wanting to train to become an electrician and proceeded to achieve every conceivable qualification by completing the numerous electrical courses that we provide.Clive's journey to becoming a fully qualified electrician started with taking levels 2 and 3 of the City & Guilds 2330: Certificate in Electrotechnical Technology.Once these entry level qualifications into the electrical industry were achieved, Clive moved onto completing the City & Guilds 2382, which provided him with knowledge of the 17th Regulations Edition of the buildings code.Training with Able Skills is all about progression so we encouraged and supported Clive to take further electrical courses with us so that he could achieve a JIB Gold Card, which would allow him to call himself a fully qualified electrician. The electrical qualifications that Clive obtained in order to gain Gold Card status included the City & Guilds 2391: Certificate in Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations level 3, AM 2 and the NVQ.Other qualifications that Clive achieved which benefited his progression within the electrical industry were the City & Guilds 2392, City & Guilds 2393 and the City & Guilds 2377.Able Skills were so impressed with Clive that he now works for our sister company OnTime Services as an electrical engineer and he is also an NVQ assessor for electrical students coming through. The above photo shows Clive putting lights up near the new Able Skills signs outside our refurbished offices.
