Leave behind taking orders from your boss and work for yourself as a Plumber. It is a well-known fact that a shortage of plumbing and other skilled trades are affecting the construction industry. This is an opportunity that is surely worth taking. Starting a new career in the plumbing industry could be the best thing you have every done.

It may sound great, but retraining is not easy for everyone. We understand that completing a long course might not fit in with your everyday life. Therefore, we have various options available for our students to train as Plumbers. Here are the routes to gaining the City & Guilds Level 2 Plumbing qualification at Able Skills:

The full-time option doesn’t suit everyone for various reasons and this is why the weekend and home study options are so popular here at our centre in Dartford. The weekend option allows are students to complete the full course but over a longer period by training at weekends.

The Home Study route is slightly different and is slowly becoming a very popular route to take into the industry. Training full-time can has its obstacles such as funding the courses over six weeks and getting six weeks straight off work. Home Study plumbing allows for a much more flexible option to gain the level 2 qualification. All the theory part of the course is completed at home in your own time in home study pack that is sent to you. Once you feel ready you’ll then book to come into our centre and complete four separate weeks of practical training and exams.
