Why a City & Guilds Qualification is so important!

When changing your career, you will debate with yourself whether you can actually do it. The answer should always be ‘yes I can do it’ because it is never too late or too early to change your career. If you feel you want a change then you should always go for it because a happy job is a successful career. However, making sure you get the right training and qualification is vital component of starting a new career.
No matter what career you are going into, you will need the right skills and qualifications to give you the start you need. Going into anything with a blind eye will most likely result in failure. In the construction industry without a qualification you won’t get very far, especially if you are looking to work on-site. Building sites across the UK are stricter than ever before as to who they let on site. You could have all the skills in the world but without the correct qualification you will not be granted entry to a building site.
The only way to get work on a building site in the UK is through having a CSCS Card which can be achieved after gaining an NVQ in the chosen trade.
However, everyone must start somewhere and one of the most popular routes is the City & Guilds Qualifications, whether you are becoming an Electrician, Plumber, Carpenter or even a Bricklayer, a City & Guilds qualification is the perfect starting point. After achieving a City & Guilds qualification you can then go and complete the NVQ.
City & Guilds are not only industry recognised qualifications, they are also recognised across the world. This puts them in high demand and many companies will ask that you have a City & Guilds qualification.
Achieving the qualification, the right way with the right training is more important than ever. With lots of people trying to create shortcuts to achieving the qualification without the skills to back it up.
Here at Able Skills, we pride ourselves in running the City & Guilds qualifications the right way and our new Accredited Courses make sure each student covers all areas of the qualifications, so they get the City & Guilds qualification and the skills to give them a successful career.
