Sisk has been awarded a contract worth £15 million to redevelop three leisure centres in the London Borough of Hounslow, which could potentially create a number of jobs for workers with electrical or plumbing qualifications.

The work will take around 36 weeks to complete and will involve the full refurbishment of Isleworth Recreation Centre, Feltham Airparcs and New Chiswick Pool.

Mike Higgins, director of the southern branch of the construction group, said he is looking forward to offering a high-quality service to the borough.

"This trio of leisure centre wins is great news for Sisk and will give us an opportunity to show our credentials in this industry and work with the local community," he said.

During the build, there could be work available for many bricklayers, gas safe registered engineers or tradesmen who have taken plumbing or electrical training courses.

Sisk Group was founded in Ireland in 1859 and the UK arm of the company currently turns over £225 million annually.
