Tradespersons who have taken electrical training courses could find that their services are in demand to help complete a new affordable housing project in London.

According to the A2Dominion Group, more than 300 new homes are set to be built on the border of Hackney and Islington as part of an £80 million development.

The firm stated the properties will be one, two, three and four-bedroom units of accommodation, with 95 being affordable and the rest being available for private purchase.

Alan Johnson, managing director of the London branch of A2Dominion New Homes, commented: "We are delighted to have acquired this prime site from Deutsche Bank."

"This is an exciting project that will help to meet demands for high quality housing and commercial space in this part of London."

Workers with approved electrical qualifications may well find increased employment opportunities as a result of the development.

A2Dominion is a house building firm and was established in 2008.
