Workers who have taken an electrical training course could find that they benefit greatly from their qualifications when it comes to furthering their career.

According to research by Citrix GoToTraining, 82 per cent of British employees think that training is key for their professional development.

In addition, 88 per cent of employers have revealed that it is great for boosting workers' skills, while 63 per cent said that organising sessions can even enhance morale and loyalty.

Commenting on the results of the survey, Andrew Millard, director of ecommerce at the firm said: "The research reveals the importance of training to both businesses and workers across Europe."

He added that "businesses in France, Germany and Britain all recognise the benefits training can bring, such as a more skilled and loyal workforce".

The Institution of Engineering and Technology states that those who want to become an electrician can either go through the typical apprenticeship framework or take NVQS or SAQs.
