Gas courses are back!

Here in Dartford, Kent at Able Skills we are working hard to make sure that we are providing training to those who need it. This is a difficult time in more ways than one. We intend to do everything in our power to ensure a safe learning environment for our students. As of last week, we started getting students back in to resume their Gas courses and this Monday it's the same story, after giving the whole centre a deep clean over the weekend we are open again this week getting students back on track with their gas training working towards new careers and opportunities in a safe and controlled manner.

Gas courses

Our bays will now be for individual students to gain practical experience in their own space.

we are doing everything we can to make sure that we do not rush this process, we are implementing measures to ensure social distancing and overall a safe and controlled working environment for all students. If you are looking to get involved in Gas courses then there is no better, more honest training centre than us here at Able Skills. We have been proving students with recognised qualifications in the trade for over 18-years now and we don't intend to stop anytime soon. with these new measures, it means that we have to reduce the number of students at our centre at any given time which is why we are introducing alternative ways of getting involved with training.

One of these options is virtual training which will involve both online materials for students to watch and learn from as well as group video calls with fellow students and the instructor to work through the theory behind the trade of Gas. Gas training here at our centre is presented in packages, such as our New Entrant Gas Training Package 2 which includes all of the elements needed to get started outing the industry. Starting with 7-weeks of hands-on practical training and classroom-based theory classes. Next, work placement! Following the completion of this 7-week gas training, you will be deemed competent to undertake supervised gas work and so the next step towards Gas Safe registration will be to demonstrate your competence in the work-place and you do this by working alongside a Gas Safe Registered Engineer who acts as your on-site verifier, helping you to build a portfolio of evidence and prove your competence and safety working with Gas. If you do not know anybody who works in the industry already or you can't get a hold of a professional, registered Gas Engineer then know that with the help of our partners at Boiler Medic we can arrange for you to work with them to complete your portfolio! This virtual option will reduce the weeks needed at the centre by allowing to learn the theory side of the qualification at home, connected to the instructor online.
