Young people who are hoping to earn their approved electrical, plumbing or gas qualifications and want to know more about training as an apprentice will have the chance to question ministers and business leaders tomorrow (January 14th).

As part of the Backing Young Britain campaign, Britons who have signed up will be able to log onto the Downing Street website and take part in a webcast with special guests such as John Wright, national chairman of the Federation of Small Businesses and Yvette Cooper, secretary of state for work and pensions.

They will have the opportunity to find out what training initiatives are available for them, what their benefits are and the funding that is entitled to them.

In addition, for those who want to discuss what they have learnt after the webcast, youngsters can stay online and get involved in a webchat with other like-minded people.

The Backing Young Britain Scheme currently has the support of 436 organisations, including Balfour Beatty, the National Housing Federation and the NHS.
