As reported on the Construction Enquirer, this week will see Housing Secretary Robert Jenrick invite bids from house building companies to secure investment for 180,000 affordable homes to be built in England.

See here quoted from the Construction Enquirer:

"Construction will be delivered over five years from 2021 to 2026.

Nearly £7.5bn will be delivered outside London by Homes England while the Greater London Authority has been offered £4bn.

Councils, housing associations and private providers will be able to start preparing their bids for funding this week."

This offers a fantastic opportunity to the whole construction industry. With a demand for workers across all trades, this will open up jobs opportunities up and down the country. Whether you are currently re-training or looking to re-train in a construction trade, the plans to build more homes will come as a huge benefit.
