gas courses The Gas Engineers of tomorrow at Able Skills

The demand for skilled workers in this trade has never been as high as it is right now...The industry needs new and capable Gas Engineers and you could be next. Our New Entrant Gas Training Package 2 is the most all-inclusive package for new entrants and will give you all of the knowledge, practical skills and further understanding that you will need to begin working on-site. There are three aspects of this course; 7-weeks of hands-on training, portfolio completion and an ACS assessment!

So...How long do these three aspects take to complete? The 7-week training programme is on a  Monday - Friday basis so all in all, it equals out to 35-days to complete in total. Next is portfolio completion which involves collecting evidence of work - to complete this you will need to be in employment working alongside a registered Gas Engineer. If you cannot

In conclusion:

  • Training - 35 Days
  • Portfolio completion - 150 Hours
  • ACS assesment - 5 Days

What about weekend training?

This course can also be taken on a weekend basis (2 weekends a month) which means that it will obviously take a considerably longer amount of time to complete. Meaning that it will take you around 9 months to complete. You will obviously be gaining the exact same qualification upon completion of this course, we offer this option for those with an existing job or other prior arrangements that you cannot escape from - hopefully weekend training as an option gives some people access to top quality training in the form of our Gas courses.
